Team for Man Utd.
We looked a bit tired and out of sorts against Fulham. To be fair, the level in the Villa game was immense, so maybe we can't expect the same intensity in two games so close together. Where that leaves us for this game will be interesting to see. I'm sure most of us will be wanting to see the strongest possible team, though given that Moyes has said that he wants to win the cup for Mark Noble, sentimentality might take precedence over good sense, which would be a mistake.

Lingard is cup-tied, quite apart from looking like the Villa game completely took the crap out of him. Antonio is a concern, having asked to come off yesterday. Moyes has played it down, but it certainly looks as if Michy is a good bit short of 100%, so I will be surprised if he plays more than an hour. Bowen's form is also a concern, so if Yarmolenko is on for him, I'm hoping Odubeko might get a chance against his old club - it would be a cracking game to get his first senior goal.

I'm hoping Soucek's ridiculous red card will have been rescinded.

Fabianski
Coufal Dawson Ogbonna Cresswell
Bowen Rice Soucek Fornals
Benrahma
Antonio

Subs: Randolph/Martin, Fredericks, Johnson, Balbuena, Diop, Noble, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Odubeko.

If Soucek's red card doesn't get repealed I thought his suspension only covered league games - or am I completely wrong?

G - Pretty sure it includes FA Cup, but not League Cup games.

I think we will go with a strong side here, also bear in mind we don't play again until Monday.

Alex I've just checked online and red cards count across all competitions for suspension its only 5 yellows in pl that don't count as suspension in Cup games

They play every 4 days don’t they... they didn’t sub anyone significant which was surprising!

Guess they may make some changes as well

Why was it surprising? Man Utd managers are not judged on the FA cup, at all. LVG won it there and got sacked a week later.

Exile's team for me. I'd like to see Odubeko get some minutes off the bench rather then Yarmo and Noble who now looks below league 1 standard

Wouldn't be surprised to see Fredricks again, might need his pace against Rashford.

We have the players now. It’s more about the attitude and how much we want it.

Il be astonished if Antonio is risked . Could see Moyes playing a false 9 . And if soucek misses it. play Johnson or diop .

I can't understand people calling for Diop to cover in midfield. To play there you need to be comfortable on the ball. Diop doesn't look comfortable in possession even when there's no one near him.

Risked for what?..... A competition we could actually win? No we wouldn’t want to do that would we?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Frederidks come in again in place of Bowen to double up on Rashford

That was an awful, tired performance yesterday. Play like that again and we will get thrashed on Tuesday.

I think the starting XI needs freshening up. I'd bring Noble in for more stability in the midfield in place of Benhrama. I'd also bring Fredericks back in for Bowen and Fornals in for the cup tied Lingard.

This would give us a fighting chance IMO. COYI.
